visitors/public comment: As a follow up to a prior written complaint filed by his wife, Doyle Pickering
requested council to take action regarding nuisance abatement for tall weeds
and brush at
CONSENT AGENDA: Dee Cook motioned,
Pam Logue seconded to approve the consent agenda including the agenda and
minutes from
Discussion and possible action on interviewing
candidates for Police Chief: An interview was held with one of the three
applicants who were scheduled to be interviewed. Calvin Paup motioned, Pam Logue seconded not
to allow the insurance to be cashed in for wages, set the starting wage at $19
per hour with a review to be done after 90 days, and to request candidate to
come back for a second interview before making a final decision. The motion included a request for the City of
Complaints about weeds/grass not being cut: Council
directed clerk to prepare nuisance abatement notices to be signed by the Mayor for
the addresses at
Committee request for concession stand plans/specs to
be prepared by engineer: Pam Cavey motioned, Rob Davis seconded to
authorize the clerk to request the engineer to prepare the plans and specs for
the concession stand and so that they can be put out for bid. Ayes all. Motion carried.
